Gurkha Micro Batch Liga C-10

by Boss on April 28, 2010

All of the cigars featured in Gurkha’s Micro batch are from a very rare batch of tobacco grown on small lots in Nicaragua. With each different blend of the micro batches there are just about 50,000 cigars rolled. The tobacco is carefully chosen from certain lots in order to create a certain size and shape for each different batch, making the Micro batches one of the hardest cigars to find. This double banded cigar starts with a bright blue and sliver band about an inch and a half long reading “Gurkha Centenary Blend” below is the smaller band about a centimeter, reading “Micro Batch C-10”.

Now I’ve smoked a lot of different Gurkha cigars and with a company growing as fast as Gurkha its hard to keep up. They have a lot of cigars I really enjoy and a lot that I cant stand. I Used to say the Ancient reserve was my favorite in the line until I smoked this cigar. The Micro Batch C-10 comes in one size, the Churchill, its 7 inches long with a 48 ring gauge. As soon as I took it out of the wrapper it filled my nose with a sweet smell of cereal, I was excited. The first third of the cigar had a little bit of spice, not to much to handle just a tiny bit of pepper taste on my pallet. As I got down to the second third it began to evolve into a more mellow nutty taste and then finished with a ton of body and a heavy hay like taste. The cigar was constructed extremely well with hardly any flaws and had a great smooth draw with a ton of smoke.

I would recommend this to a medium body cigar smoker, with tons of flavor it might be a little to much for the novice mild smoker. A great MSRP of just $6.50. I would recommend just enjoying this cigar without anything such as soda or beer to take away from its “honest” taste.
